YWCA host class on “Youth and Current Drug Trends” – Aug. 26

YWCA Greater AustinThe YWCA Greater Austin is hosting a FREE classes for women and men on Wednesday, August 26.  Both classes will be held at the YWCA Greater Austin, 2015 South IH-35, Austin, TX 78741. 

What Are Your Kids Really Doing?: Youth and Current Drug Trends will be presented by the YWCA’s Generation YW staff from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  Light refreshments will be served.  Participants are eligible for door prizes and a drawing for a gift card.  Register here at http://ywcaaustin.kintera.org/drugtrends

Youth substance use and abuse is a constantly changing field. The media is constantly flowing with ideas on what is popular and what is cool to do. In this 1-hour presentation we will go over current drug trends and issues of drug abuse teaching participants how to be more award of what youth are doing, and offer statistics of drug use on AISD middle schools. Also, we will offer general knowledge on drug use that is beneficial for anyone to know who has children/teenagers.
