MADDs Power of Parent PowerTalk 21 workshops tomorrow evening, April 22, 2021 at 6 pm

It’s April, Alcohol Awareness Month – and that means it’s time to engage parents with MADD’s Power of Parents program. Research shows that adolescents who are more connected with their  parents, for example, who attend family dinners more frequently, are less likely to drink alcohol or use other drugs among other risk factors.

MADD’s Power of Parents® program helps to equip parents and provide education and valuable tools to have the important and potentially lifesaving conversations around the dangers and consequences of underage drinking and marijuana use.  We also know that teens who do NOT drink alcohol until they are 21 are 85% less likely to become a drunk driver later in life than those who drink before age 14. Help us get this life-saving message
out! Please let the parents and caring adults in your life know that there are free resources and tools available for them.
