Nov. 12, 2019 – As substance use-related deaths increase at an unprecedented rate, prevention and intervention efforts must be part of the overall strategy to respond to the current crisis. The critical role that pediatricians can play in promoting behavioral health has been increasingly recognized. Unfortunately, new research shows that this prevention and intervention strategy has not been as fully embraced and as widely implemented by pediatricians as one might hope.
